Preamble

New Arts, Commerce and Science College, Shevgaon fosters teaching-learning environment with research. Research Culture is promoted by providing freedom of inquiry, expression and publication to faculty and students.

Policy Statement:

To create and sustained research culture among the faculty and students through academic, physical and financial support. 

 Objectives

•  To develop scientific temperament and research aptitude among faculty and students
• To encourage faculty and students to pursue research activities
• To provide necessary resources and facilities for smooth conduct of research
• To take up capacity building measures through organizing seminars, workshops, discussions on research methodology, patents, copyright etc. 
• To promote inter disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research
• To devise rules, regulations and guidelines for providing financial support to undertake research work
• To identify and establish linkages and MoUs with industry and academia
•  To prepare and effectively implement Quality Assurance Mechanism

    Research Ethics:

New Arts, Commerce and Science College follow its code of ethics for research.  It is applicable to all disciplines. Faculty members and students should follow these ethics in the pursuit of their research activities. The research ethics are as follows: 

• All researchers should acknowledge and give due credit to resource and original sources
• All research work should be free from plagiarism
•  Researchers are advised to practice all safety measures
• Researchers are advised to undertake community based projects and research activities
• Researcher should ensure fairness in practices and procedures

Research Promotion and Monitoring Committee:

Roles and Responsibilities of Research Promotion and Monitoring Committee:

• Organize workshops/ seminars/ training sessions on research methodology, IPR, Research ethics etc.
• To identify research funding agencies
• To provide research infrastructure and necessary assistance
• To screen/ evaluate, recommend and monitor new research projects under ‘Research Grant Scheme’ of the college
• To provide information about sharing research online through Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Academia Edu etc. 
• To recommend researchers for financial assistance from the college
